“To My Girls”
Directed by Ben Villegas Randle. Portrayed the role of Castor.
Performed at New Conservatory Theatre
May 22, 2025 - Barry David Horwitz reviews To My Girls by New Conservatory Theatre
Woo! I cannot be beaten for quick wit, insight, and rejected love! </3 I’m glad I embody Asian American gay loneliness with bravado because, y’all, it’s real. :-( (Also: Yay for ‘Entrance of the Evening!’ Come to think of it, all the first entrances of this play are dope: loud & lewd humor, a quick dance number, hot bod nudity, and BLOOD! You’ll just have to guess which one mine was!)
May 20, 2025 - Jim Gladstone reviews To My Girls by New Conservatory Theatre
“The Bitchery-Armored runt of the bunch”? YES!! I love that descriptor! And I love that my “psychic bruises radiate through my fiercest camp.” He ultimately didn’t like the ending, but… I’m proud of my performance dangit!
May 18, 2025 - Steve Murray reviews To My Girls by New Conservatory Theatre
Castor is the loudest character I’ve ever had the privilege to play! He has SO MANY jokes! (AND emotional bits!) I’m glad this reviewer thought I was a hoot and was able to carry the bulk of the comedy.
May 18, 2025 - Eddie Reynolds reviews To My Girls by New Conservatory Theatre
“Full of big-smile exuberance with eyes that pop with expression, a mouth permanently set to “loud,” and hips purposefully swishy.” :-)
“The Engine of Our Disruption”
Directed by Gary Graves. Portrayed the role of Chip.
Performed at Central Works.
I like "charismatically snarky," but I absolutely love that Mike got "creepy as all get out" -- That phrase is so inexplicably amusing to me!
Spot-on, baby! (And a delight!) I'm really happy people are liking this show! <3
I perform the bro "perfectly"! This makes me very happy 'cause Chip is verrrrrrry different from me! I'm glad it's convincing.
I am implacable and smirky! Forgive me for being excited, but this is the first time I've gotten an adjective since BEFORE the pandemic...!!
“How to Transcend a Happy Marriage”
Directed by Adam Sussman. Portrayed the role of Freddie.
Performed at Custom Made Theatre Company.
An unpredictably halting deadpan AND joint perfect comic timing with Nick? Yaaasss. I like this review. <3
We all got different adjectives; Mine was "spacy." Ha! I actually like it.
Freddie's the first character like this that I've ever had to play... Now I know what to call this: the quiet drifter type!
I honestly just really like the look I'm giving Karen, Nick, and his triangle in the picture they used.
We got the leaping man! We got the leaping man! We were all so excited when we found out!
It's hard to see monotone and think it's positive, but I was going for deadpan and kinda high, so I'll take it!
Okay, this reviewer didn't like the show. But I'm putting this review up because he mentioned I played Freddie to the point of "couchlock movement" and I'm like "Is that a criticism...?" So I looked it up and I'm quite proud. Yes, Freddie is stoned. I've never done/smoked cannabis, so I'm quite proud I acted it. ^.^
“Universal Robots”
Directed by Sam Tillis. Portrayed the roles of Radosh / Radius.
Performed at Quantum Dragon Theatre.
And with this, we were officially noticed by the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle! Woot!
Also good! I'll take it! :-)
Whooo!! FIRE!! But really though, I'm glad he mentioned Radosh. It's really important to me that people liked Radosh.
